Nakheel Awards Dh800 Million Contract for 537 Homes at Dubai Islands' Bay Grove Residences

Nakheel has moved forward with the development of its Bay Grove Residences on Dubai Islands, awarding a major construction contract valued at over Dh800 million to Metac General Contracting Co. This significant deal covers the construction of 537 homes within Phases 1 and 3 of the waterfront community, with main works anticipated to conclude by late 2028.

Project Details

Phase 1 of Bay Grove Residences will feature 296 homes spread across four residential buildings, while Phase 3 will add another 241 homes within three buildings. The units available will range from one to four bedrooms. The comprehensive scope of work entrusted to Metac General Contracting Co. includes not only the residential structures but also basement construction, associated infrastructure, and a range of resident amenities such as swimming pools, play courts, and a fitness centre.

Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, highlighted the strong market demand, stating, "> The sell-out of Bay Grove Residences demonstrates the depth of demand for high-quality waterfront homes in Dubai." He added that the contract award marks a crucial step in the delivery of the community and the broader development of Dubai Islands.

Wider Dubai Islands Vision

Bay Grove Residences is designed as a vibrant waterfront community offering landscaped communal areas, dedicated walking and cycling routes, and access to Crystal Beach. Once fully completed, the entire Bay Grove development will encompass 1,154 homes across 15 residential buildings. Plans are also progressing for Phases 2 and 4, which are expected to add a further 617 homes, with future construction appointments to be announced.

This residential project is an integral part of the larger Dubai Islands masterplan, a transformative destination located off the coast of Deira. The masterplan comprises five distinct islands, offering over 20 kilometres of beaches, and is envisioned to include extensive parks, open spaces, golf courses, hotels, cultural hubs, and various waterfront residential communities overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
