Etihad Rail Dubai to Abu Dhabi Passenger Tickets Now Available

Etihad Rail has commenced ticket sales for its passenger service connecting Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The new service will launch with the opening of Dubai's Al Yalayis Station (located in Jumeirah Golf Estates) and Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah on September 30, 2026. This marks a significant milestone in the UAE's national railway network expansion.

The journey between Dubai and Abu Dhabi is projected to take 1 hour and 4 minutes. Tickets for Comfort class start from Dhs39, while Premium class tickets are available from Dhs109. Passengers can book their journeys through the official Etihad Rail website or its dedicated mobile application.

Station Locations and Network Rollout

Al Yalayis Station, situated near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), will serve key residential areas including Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park, and Dubai South. This strategic location aims to provide convenient access for a wide range of residents.

The Etihad Rail passenger network is being rolled out in phases. While Mohammed Bin Zayed City and Al Hilal in Fujairah are already operational, the next phase in September 2026 includes Jumeirah Golf Estates (Dubai) and Al Dhaid (Sharjah). Subsequent station openings, scheduled for December 30, 2026, will include Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed, Liwa, and Al Sila. This phased expansion is designed to gradually connect more communities across the UAE, enhancing inter-emirate travel.

Initial Service Schedule

On the inaugural day of service, several direct trains will operate between the two major cities. The first train from Dubai Station is scheduled to depart at 6:14 AM, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 7:18 AM. Similarly, the first train from Abu Dhabi will leave at 6:43 AM, reaching Dubai Station at 7:47 AM, ensuring direct and efficient travel options for commuters and visitors alike.
