Dubai Welcomes Record 19.59 Million International Visitors in 2025

Dubai solidified its position as a leading global travel destination by recording 19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025. This figure represents a 5% increase over the 18.72 million visitors welcomed in 2024, marking the emirate's third successive year of record-breaking tourism growth.

The sustained increase in visitor numbers is attributed to Dubai's strategic investments in key sectors including infrastructure, aviation, hospitality, major events, and destination marketing. The city's appeal stems from its diverse offerings, catering to families with theme parks and beaches, luxury travellers with world-class hotels, business travellers using its commercial hub status, and adventure seekers engaging in desert safaris and water sports.

Connectivity plays a crucial role in Dubai's tourism success. Dubai International Airport (DXB) processed a record 95.2 million passengers in 2025, making it the busiest year in the airport's history and maintaining its status as the world's busiest international aviation hub. This extensive connectivity links Dubai to hundreds of destinations across six continents, enhancing its accessibility for global travellers.

The hospitality sector has directly benefited from this surge. During the first half of 2025, Dubai saw 9.88 million international visitors, a 6% year-on-year increase. Hotel occupancy rates reached an impressive 80.6%, with more than 22 million room nights sold within the period, underscoring the high demand for accommodation.
