Sobha Realty Extends IIFA Partnership, Highlights AED 40 Billion Sobha City in Abu Dhabi

Sobha Realty, a UAE-based luxury real estate developer, has extended its association with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) for a fourth consecutive year, reaffirming its role as Title Sponsor of IIFA Weekend and Co-Presenting Sponsor of the IIFA Awards 2027. The awards are scheduled for 22 — 23 January 2027 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Sobha City: Anchoring Abu Dhabi Expansion

This partnership coincides with Sobha Realty's significant expansion into the UAE capital. Earlier this year, the company announced Sobha City, a master-planned development with an estimated value of AED 40 billion. Located in Al Bahiya, near Yas Island and Zayed International Airport, this project spans approximately 38 million sq. Ft. and marks Sobha Realty's first large-scale residential community in Abu Dhabi.

Sobha City is designed as an integrated development that will feature residences, green spaces, waterfront experiences, and various lifestyle amenities. A substantial portion, nearly 60 per cent, of its masterplan is dedicated to open and green spaces, reflecting a focus on sustainable urban planning.

International Growth and Key Markets

Beyond Abu Dhabi, Sobha Realty is actively pursuing international growth, with planned opportunities in the United States and Australia through new regional offices and strategic land acquisitions. The company's handovers across Dubai in 2026 are projected to have a combined sales value of approximately AED 21.6 billion, with over 6,000 homes expected to be delivered.

India remains a crucial market for the developer, with Indian buyers accounting for 20 per cent of its total sales. Francis Alfred, Managing Director of Sobha Realty, highlighted the company's commitment to quality and craftsmanship, stating they have 79 million sq. Ft. and over 37,000 homes under construction across three emirates in the UAE. Ashish Parakh, Group Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, noted that the IIFA partnership helps connect with audiences and reinforce the brand's global vision, particularly given India's importance as a customer base.
