Miral and Etihad Rail Partner for Yas Island Shuttle Service in Abu Dhabi

Miral, the developer behind Abu Dhabi's Yas Island, has announced a partnership with Etihad Rail to provide a dedicated shuttle service linking Yas Island's major attractions with the Etihad Rail station in Mohamed bin Zayed City. This collaboration aims to create a smooth first-and-last-mile transport solution for passengers arriving by train.

Enhanced Connectivity for Yas Island

The new service will connect popular Miral-operated attractions such as Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros World, and SeaWorld to the Etihad Rail network. The initiative is designed to improve convenience and accessibility for visitors, supporting Abu Dhabi's growing tourism sector and the UAE's vision for sustainable mobility.

Lisa Goswell, Senior Vice President of Sales at Miral Destinations, stated, "Our collaboration with Etihad Rail represents an important step towards creating a more integrated journey, connecting rail travel with the Yas Express network to enhance accessibility and convenience for our guests."

Shuttle Details and Existing Services

The new shuttle service will integrate with the existing Yas Express network. Currently, the Yas Express ER1 route already connects the Mohamed bin Zayed City station with Yas Mall, offering free rides. The current schedule for the ER1 route from the station is 7:40 AM, 1:05 PM, and 7:35 PM, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes. Return shuttles from Yas Mall depart at 12:15 PM and 4:15 PM, taking around 45 minutes.

Etihad Rail has been expanding its first-mile and last-mile offerings since its passenger service between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah commenced on June 30. For those travelling to central Abu Dhabi, AD Mobility operates two routes, MR1 and MR2, connecting the rail station to major bus hubs. Also, Etihad Rail provides shuttles to Reem Mall, Adnec, and Adnoc HQ for AED 10 per journey, in addition to the train fare.
