Dubai RTA Honoured with Dubai-it Award for Infrastructure Speed and Efficiency

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has been recognised with the prestigious Dubai-it Award in the government institutions category, an honour announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The award celebrates RTA's exceptional performance in developing the city's transport infrastructure, particularly its ability to complete major projects such as roads, bridges, and tunnels at double the speed and efficiency of international standards without compromising quality. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted this achievement in a post on X, praising the RTA's adherence to a philosophy of work championed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which emphasises delivering extraordinary results with excellence and in record time.

Key Achievements Recognised

Among the specific achievements lauded were:

• The expansion of Dubai's Metro network, which maintains a punctuality rate of 99.7 per cent.
• Significant progress in autonomous mobility solutions.
• The development of high-quality cycling facilities across the city.

Sheikh Hamdan further commended the RTA's foresight in anticipating Dubai's future requirements, ensuring that the transport infrastructure supports the emirate's continuous expansion and future growth phases. The Dubai-it Award specifically recognises entities that embody this distinct approach to work, focusing on achieving excellence and speed in execution.
