Benjamin Owen, a 39-year-old professional coach, and his family pay AED 120,000 annually for a three-bedroom villa with a maid's room in the Pacifica cluster of Damac Hills 2. The family, who have been UAE residents for four years, value the desert-backed location and community facilities.

Their current villa includes four bathrooms, two balconies, a small garden, and ample parking. Owen noted the initial annual rent for a similar villa in the area was AED 100,000, with the increase attributed to securing a more reliable landlord and improved property setup.

Damac Hills 2 was chosen for its developed outskirts location, offering a balance between access to Dubai and a quieter lifestyle, with current commute times to central areas like Souk Madinat reduced to 20 minutes due to new road infrastructure. Amenities within the community include a gym, swimming pool, Water Town aqua park, 7km running track, tennis and padel courts, and various sports facilities.

The family has personalised their rental home with upgrades such as a media wall, kitchen wrapping, updated children's bedrooms with built-in bunk beds, and a turfed garden with a barbecue area.
